    1. HI – Wee might have a follow up story in our Spring newsletter, The item right before the First
Day Hike explains much of where the route went. It started at the National Seashore parkin area for Great Island, the first stop was at the gravestone of the unknown Wampanoag woman, and arrived at the etrance to the Herring River by turning left instead of heading right to Great Island. At the bridge now under construction to replace the old dike for the river, the project engineer reports on progress and features of the bridge. jjust as the walkers got to the Herring River Overlook Trail, the snow storm struck. They kept going but couldn’t see much at the overlook of the river. On the way back over Chequessett Neck Rd. and over the bridge, everyone got blasted by the snow as they trudged back to the Great Island parking lot. Hmm… I think I just wrote my story for the newsletter.

thanks for following us on the webite.
